Before playing with Power BI to build the coolest report ever created, there is always the first mandatory step of importing data into the model. Of course in Live connection or Direct Query, very few transformations are required but in import data mode, everyone should take the necessary time to create a clean model. Actually 70% of the work, in building a report, is on the creation of a good model. Otherwise, the creation of measures and interaction between different tables will be painful.
